Things to do for The King’s Coronation

The King’s coronation is fast approaching, the whole nation will celebrate this special day for our new King. This once in a lifetime ceremony will be broadcasted this Saturday, so wherever you are, we want to make sure you are celebrating it the right way. So, here some things you can do over this exciting coronation weekend.  

Conquest Theatre 

The Conquest Theatre in Bromyard is broadcasting the Coronation on the big screen. You will have full access of the theatre and will be able to relax and not miss a moment of this future historic event. The theatre has all the accessibility and technology you need to really immerse yourself in this special ceremony, after all, this will be a day to remember for everyone. The Conquest Theatre is also hosting a two-course meal with a glass of wine for the price of £12.50. Although tickets are free, you will still need to book due to seating arrangements in the auditorium. So, hurry and head over to the Conquest Theatre to book.   

Chef’s Table at Green Cow Kitchens, Crumplebury 

Why not enjoy a banquet fit for a King? Located at Crumplebury, Green cow kitchens is hosting an exquisite dining experience with food fresh from the farm. This sustainable restaurant uses all its ingredients from the farm or local area and has a wide range of food options. To make the special day even better, sit at the Chefs Table, the king of the kitchen. Ask questions, see the food prepared and know the person behind the plate. The Chef’s Table at Green Cow Kitchen opens at 7.15pm but why not enjoy a drink beforehand at the Drinking Trough, Crumplebury’s bar located on site.

Bromyard’s Party in the Park 

To celebrate the Kings coronation, Bromyard community and BromyardFM are hosting Party in the Park, located at Kempson playing field. Bromyard’s previous parties in the park have been a great success, a fun family day out. This year they are going bigger and better. Watch out for: 

  • Live music 
  • Food and drink stalls 
  • Bouncy castle and amusement rides 
  • Local produce stalls  

This party is to celebrate the King’s coronation together as a community, although anyone and everyone is welcome to join in on the fun. What makes this even more special is that any money raised will go toward the Kempson playing field, to preserve and improve the park and its facilities.

Bromyard Monthly Market 

Bromyard’s Monthly Market returns for May, with this one being extra special. With the King’s Coronation the Market spirit is higher than ever. With the traditional Market Square being transformed into a display of stalls, with food, drink, and crafts, what better way to spend the coronation Sunday then at the ‘Jewl of the Downs’. We have some new faces and returning favourites, head over to the Destination Bromyard Facebook and Instagram for a taste of the experience of the Bromyard Monthly Market.  

Starting at 10am the Market will run until 1pm, but fear not, Party in the Park is just a stone throw away, ready to keep the fun going.
