The Town of Festivals
- The first Bank Holiday in May welcomes the Town Criers Festival.
- Then we host the Speed Festival (alternative years with Shelsley Walsh) – a nod to our motoring heritage with in previous years the town becoming a track itself.
- Towards the middle of June there is a three day Scarecrow Festival, great fun for the little ones and all the family.
- One of our oldest festivals started in 1967, The Bromyard Gala, also popular with families and with a traditional rural feel takes place over a weekend towards the end of June.
- Nozstock, the Hidden Valley boasts 11 stages of music and draws in huge crowds to Bromyard in July.
- The Art Walk is a collaboration of local artists and shops, cafes and businesses in the town displaying their art at the end of August.
- At the start of September we have the Bromyard Folk Festival, another long running event with a warm family vibe and talented musicians and singers from all over.
- As the nights draw we light up the town with our famous Bromyard Christmas Lights. If you haven’t seen these yet you really must take a trip to see them, some say they’re better than Blackpool.
We come and see the lights several times a week once they’re switched on at the end of November. The kids absolutely love it. It’s become a Christmas ritual and treat in the dark nights leading up to Christmas.
